Remarks
- Systematics: Adult females of P. lantanae are most similar to those of P. larinus De Lotto, 1975 in having: (i) ventral oral collar tubular ducts marginally on the abdomen, thorax and head; (ii) translucent pores on the hind coxa, femur and tibia; and (iii) dorsal oral rim tubular ducts absent from the abdomen. They differ as follows (character states of P. larinus are given in parentheses): (i) anal-lobe bar absent (present); (ii) multilocular disc-pores present on venter of abdominal segments I and II (absent from abdominal segments I and II). - Structure: Slide-mounted adult female body oval to broadly oval, 1.30–1.87 mm long, 0.80–1.25 mm wide. Eye situated on margin, about 25–30 μm wide, without associated discoidal pores. Antenna 8 segmented, 303–355 μm long; (Kaydan, et al,. 2026)
