Remarks
- Systematics: Paracoccus metalasiae is unique among the species treated here in that it has translucent pores on the hind leg restricted to the coxa. It is similar to P. latebrosus De Lotto, 1975 in having: (i) only a few dorsal oral rim tubular ducts, and (ii) many ventral marginal oral collar tubular ducts on the margin between the head and the abdominal apex. Paracoccus metalasiae differs as follows (character states of P. latebrosus are given in brackets): (i) translucent pores present on hind coxa only (translucent pores on hind coxa and tibia); (ii) dorsal oral rim tubular ducts absent from abdomen (present on abdomen); (iii) in having 15–17 pairs of cerarii (with 11–15 pairs); and (iv) anal-lobe bar absent (present). (Kaydan, et al., 2026)
- Structure: Slide-mounted adult female body elongate oval to broadly oval, 2.00–2.50 mm long, 1.42–1.65 mm wide. Eyespots each situated on margin, 30–37 μm wide, without associated discoidal pores. Antenna 8 segmented, Circulus absent. Legs well developed; (Kaydan, et al., 2026)
- General Remarks: Detailed description and illustration in Kayean, et al., 2026.
